The Abbey is owned by Bill Treloar of the Old Coastguard Hotel in Mousehole and Head Chef Michael Riemenschneider who aims to improve on the restaurant's existing accolades of stars and rosettes. The Abbey was recently awarded 6/10 in the Good Food Guide, and voted in Eat Out Magazine's Top 100, beating other well-respected London restaurants such as Sketch and Roussillon.

Goodfellows Restaurant and Patisserie, Wells, Somerset

Adam Fellows, previously a Michelin-starred chef at Charlton House Hotel has opened a top quality restaurant in Wells, Somerset, where he specializes in fish. His French wife, Martine, oversees the true artisan pastry shop where everything tastes as wonderful as it looks. In May 2008, Adam and Martine launched the Sadler Street Cafˇ with later opening hours, more meat dishes, and a wonderful dinner menu at only £20 for any dish, glass of wine, and dessert from the authentic patisserie.

Halswell House, Somerset

Halswell House is a beautiful 17th Century mansion with commanding views over the Bristol Channel to Wales and is principally used as a high quality wedding and event venue. Halswell House will be running a Tulip Fair in February 2009 to commemorate the reign of William& Mary, during which the house was built. Art, history, flowers, gardening and charity will come together in a five day extravaganza with a Baroque Dinner with music performed by the talented musicians of Wells Cathedral School.

Juniper restaurant

Taken over by the Abbey's Michael Riemenschneider in October 2008, Juniper offers the finest in French cuisine.  Michael will soon be introducing a six-seat Chef's Table from which diners will be able to watch his brigade at work.  He is also installing cameras and screens to allow those in the main dining room to view the kitchen action.

Old Coastguard Hotel, Mousehole, Cornwall

Olivia Inge

28 year-old Olivia Inge turned down a modeling contract in Paris at the age of 16 to finish her A Levels. She went on to model for Vivienne Westwood, Alexander McQueen, Givenchy and Yves St Laurent during the holidays. Now a full-time professional model, Olivia is the 'Muse' for Jasper Conrans' 2008 designs and was the face of O2 to launch a new model competition.

The Royal Oak

The Royal Oak is a 12th Century thatched inn on Exmoor's National Park. The inn is the heart of the community serving only locally produced, excellent quality food. In 2009, they launch the restaurant, The 1651 at The Royal Oak, where only food sourced within 25 miles will be served.

Somerset Orchards

Somerset Orchards are a co-operative of cider orchard owners looking for new markets for cider apples. After four years of research, two single variety cider apple juices have been launched to great acclaim - Kingston Black (the king of cider apples) and Browns. Somerset Orchards are Finalists in the Country Living/Waitrose Made in Britain award. The supermarket has expressed a wish to stock the juice.

What's On Somerset

What's On Somerset is a quarterly magazine covering all events and news in the county. CIA writes many of the articles, and Rosie Inge is the Food and Restaurant Editor.

Withy Kitchen, Somerset

Withy Kitchen was set up by ex-Saab sales director, Keith Field, and his wife, Helen. Having swapped business suits for chef's whites, Keith now spends his days creating and cooking imaginative, vegetarian ready meals which are immediately air-blasted frozen to retain their delicious tastes and textures. All produce is locally sourced and is prepared in the meat-free, Vegetarian Society approved kitchen in Somerton.
