The George Inn, Wedmore

A glorious set of sprawling buildings which Gordon Stevens is restoring with creative zeal. Excellent, locally sourced food and great hospitality with a quirky sense of humour is on the menu. Wedmore Young Farmers practice in the garden on one of the few tug-o-war machines in the UK. 1760 serves very delicious pizzas from a restaurant whose fixtures and fittings were nearly all sourced from car boot sales, auctions or E-bay.
Goodfellows Restaurant and Sadler Street Cafe Award-winning Adam Fellows, previously the Michelin-starred head chef at Charlton House Hotel, runs a superb restaurant in Wells, Somerset, specialising in fish. His French wife, Martine, oversees the true artisan pastry shop and Cafe next door.
Invitation to View ItV was established in Suffolk for owners of seriously interesting properties (traditional and modern) to open their houses to the public on a limited number of days each year. The owner will guide visitors around and serve them home-made cakes and tea afterwards. CIA will help ItV to expand into the West Country.

The brand 'Levels Best' was launched in Autumn 2007: it offers total traceability and encompasses food produced only on the 260 square miles of the Somerset Levels - nature at its very best.

The Montague Inn
A enchanting, traditional pub at the centre of the community in Shepton Montague near Wincanton, run by great characters Sean and Suzy O'Callaghan, with excellent seasonal food sourced from local suppliers. It's in the middle of nowhere near Bruton but the welcome and quality of the food is worth the journey.
Noah's Ark Zoo Farm
100 acres of Zoo in a 300 acre working dairy farm with a Big Cat Sanctuary, which took delivery of three delightful lion cubs to join the magnificent tigers. CIA has been employed to help with crisis management following a vicious campaign by animal rights protestors; Noah's Ark was completely exonerated of all allegations.
Olivia Inge 31 year-old who turned down a modelling contract in Paris at the age of 16 to finish her A Levels. Modelled for Vivienne Westwood, Alexander McQueen, Givenchy and Yves St Laurent during the holidays. Now a full-time professional model, for ten years she was the Muse' for Jasper Conran. Her quote was used by the Sunday Times to complete its tribute to McQueen when he died.
Perry's Cider Perry's Dabinett won Supreme Champion Cider at the Royal Bath and West Show in 2003, when it was launched and again in 2005 and 2008 - the only cider to have won more than once. This is the flagship product of fourth generation George Perry's Somerset farm.

Somerset Community Foundation
SCF develops a culture of local giving and enabling voluntary groups to combat disadvantage and isolation. CIA launched their 'Surviving Winter' Campaign in 2010 with a PMQ from Tessa Munt MP and in conjunction with the Western Daily Press which has giving tremendous support to the campaign. Over 60,000 was raised in three months and the campaign was taken on by all the other Community Foundations across the country in 2011. CIA was awarded a Silver in the CIPR PRide Awards.
What's on Somerset? Quarterly, glossy magazine covering all events and news in the county. CIA writes many of the articles and Rosie Inge is the Food & Restaurant Editor.
Wookey Hole Inn Nestled amongst the Mendip Hills is a pub with a difference run by Richard Davies, a Harley Davidson owner. The conservative faade belies the explosion of colour, taste and texture within. Five stylish, quirky rooms, and excellent, locally sourced food.
